Armor Shield

Armor Shield provides an important protective layer between a vinyl swimming pool liner and its sand or soil base. Unlike traditional foam padding, Armor Shield is a Polypropylene Geotextile blend that minimizes cuts and punctures to the vinyl liner caused by rocks, roots, grass and even GLASS! Armor Shield also reduces convective heat loss and provides a comfortable floor pad for the comfort of pool goers.

Wall foam is available in 1/8” or ¼” thickness. At Deep Blue, we only us ¼” wall foam due to its’ better liner to wall protection and its’ high insulating quality. Also, 1/8” wall foam has a tendency to wrinkle when applying. Wall foam helps protect liner wall punctures from toenails and pool toys. It also helps to retain heat in the pool, since the pool’s steel walls lower the pool temperature on colder nights.
